401K Plan Administrator

Location: Philippines

Work Arrangement: Work from home / Hybird

The Role:

This position focuses on the full process of what it takes to administer, test and report on 401(k) plans. Through accelerated learning, in-depth training and practical experience, the Retirement Plan Administrator will quickly grow from document review to administering all complexities of 401(k) plans. You’ll work directly with clients to educate them on the administration of their plan. This position requires immaculate attention to detail and experience performing annual 401(k) plan testing, calculating employee eligibility and reconciliation of plan assets.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with clients to obtain necessary information to prepare the annual reporting

  • Make outgoing calls and send emails to clients during the play year reporting process

  • Review documents submitted by clients for completeness and accuracy

  • Ability to navigate large volume of work with autonomy while also collaborating within your team and department to ensure excellent client experience

  • Perform different types of testing, including but not limited to nondiscrimination, coverage and top-heavy testing.

  • Understand how to recognize and simply explain testing failures to clients then work with them to limit future risk.

  • Calculate allocations, distributions, and matching contributions for 401(k) plans

  • Prepare required government filings, including the annual IRS Form 5500

  • Educate clients about the administration of their 401(k) plan

  • Be goal driven and desire to exceed defined role expectations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred

  • Previous reconciliation experience preferred

  • Basic knowledge of 401(K) plan structure, ROBS, and IRS/DOL Regulations a plus

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Able to work independently, multi-task and establish own priorities based on workload and client need

  • Excellent grasp of all Microsoft 365 applications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Aptitude in data management, analytics, and reporting preparation

  • Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed
