What is offshoring vs. outsourcing?

Offshoring is having your business’s work done in another country, usually to save on costs. Many models of offshoring and business process outsourcing (BPO) exist today. Outsourcing is the process of contracting work out to a third-party company.

Why the Philippines?

Does offshoring save me money? How does that cost-savings work?

Offshoring does save you money (though that is not the only benefit). Because cost of living in the Philippines is so much lower than the United States, companies can offer salaries that are simultaneously excellent rates in the Philippines and significantly less than hiring costs in the U.S.

How much does your service cost?

What types of roles can I offshore?

You may be surprised to find how many roles you can offshore, as the Philippines has such a rich, highly educated talent pool. Roles suitable for offshoring include customer service, back office, insurance, creative content, digital marketing, engineering/software development, finance and accounting, data processing, virtual assistant, and more.  We like to think outside the box and are confident we can find a solution to fit your needs.

How does offshoring affect my domestic team?

Adding an offshore team means adding capacity to your domestic team members, freeing them up to focus elsewhere. With the excellent cultural fit between the Philippines and the United States, your domestic and offshore team members are easily able to communicate and collaborate with each other.

How do I deal with the time difference? When does the offshore team work?

Your team can work standard hours in the Philippines (8am – 5pm local), or we can specifically recruit team members who are willing to work the same hours as your domestic team (for additional compensation).

How do I manage someone so far away?

We provide you with ongoing support and best practices for managing your global team, as well as on-site assistance. For larger teams, we can also hire a team lead to manage and monitor performance in office.

Where does my global team work?

Your team members can work in our state-of-the-art facility in Manila or work virtually, depending on your needs and budget.

Do you provide training?

The employees we hire are already highly qualified and have foundational skills. In addition, we provide technology training and continued skills development. Any company-specific training is handled by you.

What if I try offshoring and it doesn’t work for me?

At DOXA, we are committed to your success and finding a solution that works for you. However, for your peace of mind, we have no contract requirements.
